Expert Agentic AI Engineer

Expert Agentic AI Engineer – Full-Time, UK

About the Role

Join a cross-functional development team shaping tomorrow’s AI-driven experiences. As an Expert Agentic AI Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI systems with a focus on autonomous agentic architectures.


Responsibilities

  • Design, build, train, and deploy production-grade Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Natural Language Processing (NLP) models
  • Optimize models for enterprise-scale performance, ensuring seamless integration with data warehouses and automation workflows
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to architect high-quality data pipelines, automated feature stores, and secure preprocessing routines
  • Establish and scale MLOps workflows for model lineage tracking, code versioning, automated validation, and continuous deployment
  • [Expert-Level Focus]
    • Define the technical direction for AI engineering across multiple squads
    • Evaluate emerging AI methodologies and provide mentorship to senior team members
    • Lead advanced R&D initiatives in agentic AI and autonomous systems

Requirements

Essential

  • 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Expert) of production ML experience (model development, deployment, and maintenance)
  • Hands-on expertise in agentic frameworks, including:
    • Building autonomous workflows with Microsoft Copilot Studio or semantic kernels
  • Proven cloud AI deployment experience, specifically:
    • Fine-tuning generative AI models within Azure AI Foundry (formerly Azure AI Studio)
    • Working with PromptFlow and vector databases
  • Strong integration skills for connecting LLMs to APIs, enterprise data, and RPA tools
  • Advanced Python proficiency, paired with expertise in:
    • Core ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face)
    • MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, AWS SageMaker, Azure ML)
  • Rock-solid computer science fundamentals:
    • Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and clean coding principles
  • Recommendation: Formal qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields
