Location: Ansty, Coventry Salary: Circa £80,000 + Benefits
About the Company
You will join Geely Technology Europe (UK) Coventry Creative Centre (GC3), supporting its Creative Exterior Design team to:
- Develop and deliver high-quality exterior design solutions for Geely models
- Contribute to the creation, refinement, and realisation of exterior components
- Align designs with brand vision, design intent, and production requirements
responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualisation of design ideas, renderings, and digital/physical model development
- Ensure seamless progress tracking for both digital models and clay models
- Foster cross-cultural communication for plan execution based on design and production needs
- Collaborate with teams to guide digital and physical model design
- Analyse product modelling reports and generate concept sketches, renderings, and design expressions using industry software
- Demonstrate strong automotive design expertise, including:
- Mature hand-drawing ability
- Photo-realistic rendering skills
- A forward-thinking approach to capturing and developing creative concepts

Requirements
Essential
- 8+ years of experience in automotive styling, with a specialisation in exterior design
- Proven track record of working at a senior level in the automotive industry (ideally in an OEM environment)
- Contribution to five or more mass-production exterior styling projects
- Bonus (if available): Experience in luxury brand exterior and interior creative design
- Strong understanding of exterior surface design with the ability to balance aesthetics and technical feasibility
- Proficient in industry-standard software:
- Photoshop, Illustrator
- Alias Studio Tools, VRed
- Adobe Creative Suite, Showcase
- Ai tools
- Exceptional sketching, rendering, and presentation skills
- A Master’s degree in Automotive Design with a background in industrial/transportation design

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills (ability to work diplomatically and effectively across teams)
