We are looking for enthusiastic people to join us as Explainer Volunteers at Rievaulx Terrace. Explainers help our visitors to best understand the site and specifically the Temple. They help with orientation, history sharing and generally making people feel welcome.
Based in the Temple at Rievaulx Terraces, you will:
- Provide a warm and friendly welcome for all visitors
- Help convey the story of Rievaulx Terraces by actively engaging with visitors in answering their questions, telling stories about the site, and supporting other visitor activities that might be taking place
- Help preserve and protect the collection
- Creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for new volunteers
