Expo Designer
3D Creative Designer
Location: Near Camberley, Hampshire (5 days onsite during probation) then Hybrid after that Salary: Competitive Type: Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a talented Mid-Weight or Senior 3D Creative Designer to join an award-winning exhibition and brand experience company based in Hampshire.
You will need to have events or exhibition design experience. For over 20 years, our client has been designing and delivering high-impact exhibition stands, immersive brand activations, retail environments, and live event experiences for global brands. Combining bold creative thinking with intelligent modular systems, they transform empty floor space into unforgettable audience-first experiences. Their full in-house team delivers projects from concept through to installation, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional with transferable exhibitions or live events experience who can:
- Take ownership of projects with minimal training
- Work closely with sales, project, and operations teams throughout the design process

The successful candidate must be comfortable working onsite in Farnborough, 5 days per week during the first 6 months of probation.
Responsibilities
- Create innovative 3D exhibition stand and live event concepts
- Develop designs from brief through to client presentation stage
- Produce commercially aware creative solutions aligned to client budgets
- Work collaboratively with sales, project management, and operations teams
- Understand and apply modular system logic within stand designs
- Prepare presentation visuals, layouts, and technical design packs
- Estimate and price creative concepts during the design process using margin and markup principles
- Present concepts internally and support client-facing presentations where required
Requirements
Essentials
- Mid-Weight or Senior level 3D Designer with exhibitions, events, or experiential design experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating live events, exhibition, or experiential projects
- Ability to work independently without extensive training
- Strong understanding of modular exhibition systems and operational delivery
- Commercial awareness with the ability to price and estimate concepts
- Proficient in relevant 3D design software
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Must live within approximately 30 miles of Farnborough HQ
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required

Interview Process
Suitable candidates will undertake a four-stage interview process:
- Stage 1: Initial conversation to discuss experience, suitability, and the role.
- Stage 2: Practical design test based on creating a modular exhibition stand to an agreed brief and budget.
- Stage 3: Face-to-face interview presenting the completed design concept.
- Stage 4: Final interview with the Managing Director
