Export Compliance Officer – Centre of Excellence Team (Yeovil)
Location: Yeovil, hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days remote) Reports to: Export Compliance Manager
We are seeking an Export Compliance Officer to join Honeywell Aerospace’s Export Compliance Centre of Excellence at our Yeovil facility. Supported by excellent learning and career progression opportunities, this role offers cross-functional collaboration—working with manufacturing, logistics teams, and engineering on cutting-edge aviation projects—while developing deep expertise in ensuring our products comply with international export regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Your role spans training, advisory support, regulatory enforcement, and operational compliance. Key tasks include:
- Ambassador of export compliance
- Raise awareness with internal stakeholders and deliver targeted training on export control laws
- Act as the trusted advisor providing expert guidance on compliance impacts for products, processes, and teams

Regulatory compliance oversight
- Maintain and enforce compliance frameworks aligned with global export control laws
- Conduct routine internal audits and checks to mitigate risks
- Drive improvements to export compliance processes, including IT systems and operational workflows

Licensing and transactional support
- Lead triage and submission of export license applications to government agencies
- ensure compliance with transactional requirements in SAP/GTS systems

Cross-functional collaboration
- Build relationships with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams
- Partner with security professionals regionally to exchange best practices and regulatory knowledge

Continuous learning and adaptability
- Monitor evolving regulations (EAR, ITAR, EAR, sanctions, sanctions, UK/EU dual-use norms, etc.) and implement necessary adjustments
Required Qualifications

Qualification and experience
- Bachelor’s degree OR two years of corporate experience as a degree substitute
- Fluent in English (C1 level or higher)

Relevant exposure (preferably some, but enthusiasm to learn is welcomed)
- Hands-on experience in export compliance, sanctions monitoring, or regulatory affairs (in industry, government, or other sectors)
- Global mindset and strong interpersonal communication in high-stakes environments

- Practical skills
- Mobile problem-solving and analytical approach to root-cause issues
- Basic proficiency in MS Office suite
Desired Skills (Plus Points for Experience)

Technical knowledge
- Prior exposure to SAP/GTS export frameworks
- Familiarity with data analytics, scripting, or programming (for auditing/reporting)

Regulatory specialism
- Experience with one or more of:
- UK Export Controls
- EU Dual-Use Regulation
- Military Export Controls (any E rotate country •)

- Sanctions Compliance/Customs Redress

- Fluency in a non-English European language
