Export Control and Regulatory Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Quality and Compliance team. You will be key in maintaining Trade and Chemical Compliance activities across the company to Global chemical regulations such as UK-REACH, EU-REACH and TSCA schemes and applicable import/export regulations. You will demonstrate excellent teamwork to provide compliance support and direction for all areas of the business. You will be responsible for compiling data and developing, implementing and maintaining processes, standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure all compliance is maintained in all importation and manufacturing transactions. You will perform internal audits to evidence compliance.
This role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for personal growth in a fast-paced and dynamic environment who is keen to gain experience of working in projects involving internal and external stakeholders. Occasional international travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely and comply with all company HSE requirements
- Create and maintain trade compliance documentation including due diligence, SOPs, Work Instructions, and forms
- Input into the Quality Assurance and Compliance Scorecard to meet agreed departmental KPI’s
- Develop and improve internal processes to support Luxfer’s Global Trade Compliance Program
- Determine Global Tariff Schedules and Export Control Classification Numbers/codes for products being imported or exported
- Maintain robust due diligence of export classification and all other regulatory requirements
- Implement and interpret Country of Origin (COO) and FTA rules to support clients' import operations
- Monitor developments in and assess compliance and risk with Company, State, Federal and other laws and guidelines
- Preparation and delivery of internal regular training and updates to the business on Compliance aspects
Requirements:
- 3 x A levels in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or related Environmental Science or Toxicology subject with grades BBB (120 UCAS points) or equivalent
- At least 3 years experience in a Regulatory role. Candidates with specific experience in EU REACH registrations, import/export formalities and/or trade compliance would be a distinct advantage
- Experience with Excel/Power BI data analysis skills
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities
