Export Coordinator - London Heathrow

Do you thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment where accuracy, compliance and customer service are key?

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive logistics professional to join our Operations team in Cambridge. As an Export Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless movement of life science shipments across the globe, supporting customers whose work helps move science forward.

Working closely with airlines, transport suppliers, customs authorities and internal stakeholders, you will ensure all export shipments are processed efficiently, compliantly and to the highest standards of quality and customer service.

Role Responsibilities Overview:

  • Coordinating export shipments from booking through to departure and destination pre-alerts
  • Preparing and reviewing export documentation, including airline Master Airwaybills (MAWBs) and Dangerous Goods documentation
  • Filing export declarations and ensuring compliance with HMRC and transportation regulations
  • Liaising with airlines, handlers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution
  • Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational issues and supplier-related delays
  • Maintaining accurate shipment information within our Transport Management System (TMS)
  • Reviewing packaging, labelling and documentation to ensure shipments are acceptable for carriage
  • Supporting the development of routing solutions and identifying opportunities for operational improvements
  • Monitoring supplier performance and escalating concerns where necessary
  • Ensuring compliance with Biocair SOPs, quality standards and security procedures

What We Offer You:

Work Environment:

  • Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 08:30 -17:00 and 09:30 -18:00 (rota basis)
  • Fully onsite at our London Heathrow office

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience working within an airfreight, freight forwarding or export logistics environment
  • Strong understanding of export processes, documentation and customs requirements
  • Experience handling Dangerous Goods shipments and associated documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders
