What You Can Expect:
We are recruiting for an Export Solutions Operator. The Road Export Operator is responsible for managing and coordinating road freight export shipments from booking through to final delivery. The role ensures shipments are executed efficiently, compliantly, and in line with customer requirements, while maintaining high service standards and strong communication with clients, hauliers, and internal teams.

Main duties:
- Manage daily export planning, ensuring trailers are utilised to maximum capacity and routes are optimised for cost, efficiency, and customs requirements.
- Prepare, verify, and process export documentation (CMR, invoices, packing lists, customs documents, etc.).

Key Competencies:
- Strong understanding of export operations, trailer planning, or road freight logistics.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator able to support, guide, and challenge colleagues constructively.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Experience using transport management systems (e.g., OTMS) is advantageous.
- Ability to analyse trends, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
- Proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Calm under pressure with a structured approach to decision-making.
What You Bring:
Skills and Experience:
- Strong Word and Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics, road freight and warehousing.
- Knowledge of customs processes, transport regulations, and freight documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer-focused, solutions-driven, and highly organised.
- Strong prioritisation skills.
- Collaborative, approachable, and able to build strong internal and external relationships.
Qualifications:

- GCSE or equivalent in English and Math.
- Customer service skills are a must.
- Proficient in Maths and English.
- Other languages beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word / Excel / Teams).
