Export Sales Manager
Salary: Up to £55,000 + bonus structure + Company vehicle Location: Worcestershire (30–40% International Travel) Hours: Monday to Friday
About the Role
An established UK-based agricultural and vegetation management machinery manufacturer is seeking a commercially driven and internationally minded Export Sales Manager to expand its export business across key global markets.
Reporting to the Export Director, this autonomous yet impactful role requires an experienced sales professional with:
- Strong market development skills
- Proven ability to build credibility with dealers, distributors, and senior decision-makers
- Hands-on commercial judgment and relationship-management expertise
Ideal for someone who thrives in fieldwork while contributing to broader strategic objectives, representing a reputable brand with ambitious international growth plans.

You will be responsible for driving profitable growth in export markets while fostering strong commercial partnerships worldwide. Key focus areas include:
- Dealer/distributor management – developing and neurotising channel performance
- Customer relationships – strategic engagement at senior decision-maker level
- Market intelligence – competitive insights, pricing, and new opportunities

Key Responsibilities
Territorial Growth (Strategic & Operational)
- Develop sales in assigned export territories while aligning with commercial objectives
- Appoint/develop new distribution partners where necessary
- Deploy product portfolios effectively across regions
Dealer & Distributor Engagement
- Forecast quotas, negotiate tenders, and optimize sales pipelines
- Implement market plans through visits, reviews, and commercial follow-ups
- Monitor distributor performance and maintain competitive advantage
Commercial & Cross-functional Support
- Collaborate with customer service, operations, service, marketing, and parts teams
- Support customers worldwide through timely commercial expertise
- Gather and share market intelligence on competitors and opportunities
Representation & Partnership
- Attend conferencing, exhibitions, and field demonstrations
- Present business outcomes and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
About You
We are seeking an export-proven professional with:
Essential Criteria
- Paul century’s experience in export sales or channel development
- Specialism in agricultural machinery, vegetation management, or related equipment industries
- Proven ability to:
- Manage international sales pipelines
- Build trust with senior stakeholders (dealers, distributors)
- Drive profitable growth through negotiation and relationship-building

Preferred Attributes
- Expertise in dealer/distributor management within hardware/industrial sectors
- An established network in new-market growth
- Negotiation experience with ownership groups and large accounts
- Practical understanding of product applications, customer needs, and routes to market
- Language skills: German or French (highly valued)
Soft Skills Essential
- Independent problem-solving with strong ownership mindset
- Excelling management approach to forecasting and follow-up
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal acumen
Language Skills Required
- Fluent English (essential)
- Bonus: Proficient in German or French to support international client interaction
