Location
Home-based with 1-2 days per month in North East London, plus regular international travel
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, internationally recognised consumer goods business with a portfolio of market-leading personal care brands sold in over 100 countries worldwide.
The business has a strong heritage, an excellent reputation for product quality and innovation, and ambitious plans to continue growing its international footprint. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint an Export Sales Manager to develop existing distributor partnerships whilst identifying opportunities to expand into new European markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term international partnerships and wants to play a key role in driving growth across established and emerging markets.
The Role
Reporting into Head of Sales, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of European distributor partners whilst developing new business opportunities across key strategic markets.
You will inherit established distributor relationships across Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Poland and Czech Republic. Alongside this, you will lead market development activity within France and Spain.
Working closely with distributor partners, internal marketing, supply chain and customer service teams, you will develop joint business plans, identify growth opportunities and ensure successful execution of commercial strategies within each market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with international distributor partners across Europe.
- Develop and deliver annual Joint Business Plans with each distributor.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, distribution and market share.
- Support distributors with commercial strategy, product launches, promotional planning and customer development.
- Negotiate annual trading terms and commercial agreements.
- Analyse sales performance, market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop new distributor relationships where appropriate.
- Lead market entry activity within France and Spain.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Service to deliver excellent customer support.
- Attend international trade shows, distributor meetings and customer visits.
- Produce regular sales forecasts and market reports.

About You
We're looking for an ambitious international sales professional who enjoys developing brands through distributor networks.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience managing international distributor relationships within FMCG or consumer goods.
- A strong understanding of export markets across Europe.
- Experience creating and delivering Joint Business Plans.
- Commercial negotiation experience with distributors.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing abilities.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
Desirable Experience
- Personal care, beauty, healthcare or consumer goods experience.
- Experience launching products into new international markets.
- Knowledge of European retail and pharmacy channels.
- Additional European language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
