Export Customer Service Administrator (Loughborough)

Position Overview

This role sits within our Export Customer Service Team, supporting customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) within a global scientific products and services company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Handling of Export Customers

    • Prepare shipping documentation for worldwide deliveries

    • Meet deadlines for shipments and resolve shipping-related enquiries (verbal & written)

  • Collaboration & Administrative Support

    • Work closely with the Export Sales Team to deliver exceptional shipping & admin helpdesk
    • Resolve complex shipping issues, including hazardous goods paperwork and general enquiries
    • Maintain high performance metrics — individually, departmentally, and company-wide
    • Balance customer satisfaction with business operational demands

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria

The candidate must demonstrate:

  • Proven expertise in hazardous goods export shipping
  • Self-motivated, independent worker with minimal supervisory need
  • Strong prioritisation skills to manage high-volume workloads in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication (both written & verbal) for customer/departmental clarity

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ A-Levels (or equivalent explanatory) – ideally (not strictly vital) in Science/English
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Desirable: Prior experience in pressurised/server environments
  • Advantageous qualification: Knowledge of IATA/IMDG regulations (highly recommended)
