Exposure Management Analyst
Exposure Management Analyst
Santam is expanding its Exposure Management capabilities. This role provides the opportunity to engage across diverse classes of business, managing exposures, delivering technical analysis to underwriting teams, and shaping the Syndicate’s nascent Exposure Management Framework.
Key Accountabilities

Pre-bind Pricing Input Deliver regular modelling output and exposure analysis to underwriting teams to support pricing and risk selection.

Portfolio Management Maintain modelled exposures for both modelled and non-modelled risks, ensuring accurate and timely data capture.

Regulatory Reporting Assist the Head of Exposure Management in meeting all regulatory deadlines, including:
- Lloyd’s RDS
- LCM
- Other market returns.

Internal Monitoring and Reporting Provide regular reporting on key movements and limit utilisation.

Data Review Uphold best practices for data cleansing to ensure high-quality inputs for catastrophe modelling.

Personal Development Develop a deep understanding of:
- The Lloyd’s regulatory environment
- Industry trends, including new Lloyd’s and PRA guidance.

Project Involvement Support the development of new approaches, conduct research into emerging territories/models, and assist with:
- Validating licensed models.
Experience & Technical Capabilities
- Minimum 18 months’ experience in Exposure Management or Catastrophe Modelling.
- Systems knowledge:
- Previous use of Verisk Touchstone preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and basic programming skills advantageous.
