Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and inspiring a high-performing team with strong operational capability and confident leadership skills
- Coaching colleagues to be passionate, knowledgeable, and customer-focused, ensuring every shopper enjoys great range, quality, and service
- Leading the team to drive trade, grow sales, and maximise profit through strong commercial awareness and effective decision-making
- Building managers’ capability to deliver the Store Change Plan, deploying resources to maximise impact for customers
- Championing colleague safety and legal compliance, ensuring all security and operational processes are consistently followed
- Role-modelling leadership behaviours to shape a culture of clarity, resilience, and continuous improvement

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in leading teams within a retail or customer-facing environment, with a strong track record of delivering results through others
- A clear understanding of your role’s importance and the ability to work collaboratively, drawing on leadership experience to drive performance
- A natural, welcoming approach with customers, using prior experience to build strong relationships and ensure customers remain central to decisions
- Energy, resilience, and confidence to maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment, making quick, informed decisions
- High personal standards and integrity, setting expectations and leading by example
- Awareness of competitor activity and strong experience in retail or store operations, enabling you to identify opportunities, introduce initiatives, and improve customer experience
