We are seeking to receive expressions of interest from those who would like the opportunity to join our teams, promoting the growth of the Arup Energy Business. With offices across the UK, you will join teams of professionals with diverse industry knowledge.
The Opportunities
We are seeking individuals with a personal dedication to climate action and sustainable development to bring technical expertise and strategic thinking to address the challenges of low carbon energy systems and climate resilient/sustainable development in cities, and to develop project and client management capabilities alongside the expertise of your colleagues.
We would like to speak to people at all seniority levels, who have a background or experience in any of the following areas;
- Energy Engineers
- OHL Engineers
- Engineers - HV Power Systems
- Urban Energy Consultants
- Offshore Wind Engineers - Geotechnical, Structural
- Process Engineers - Energy

We'd love to hear from you if you have;
- A degree in a relevant field; Chemical, Process, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, Environmental (or similar) Engineering or equivalent/ Aspiration to work toward professional accreditation
- ICE or IStructE or IMechE (or similar) accredited course or interested in pursuing these.
- Experience with coding languages will be beneficial - particularly in Python or Matlab.
- Up to date knowledge of relevant developments and trends in the energy sector as well as knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analysis of energy data and trends.
- Knowledge of current UK climate and energy policy and legislation as well as appreciation of systems thinking or complexity theory.
- Proven record of delivering the FEED and detailed design of offshore wind turbine sub-structures on projects in UK or European waters, including authoring design reports and technical notes, and completing as the design consultant successful ILA processes with one or more wind turbine supplier.
- Background in the design and delivery of EHV and HV (400kV-11 kV ) electrical systems along with skills in Modelling/Analysis of these networks
