We’re seeking free expressions of interest from those eager to contribute to Arup’s UK fire safety business growth. As pioneers for over 80 years, our cutting-edge approach blends research, digital innovation, and academia-driven collaboration to address fire safety challenges—prioritising equity, especially for vulnerable communities.

Eligibility: All Career Stages
We welcome expressions from fire engineering professionals at all levels, including:
- Fire Engineer
- Senior Fire Engineer
- Associate Engineer
- Fire Systems Engineer
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in:
- Chartered Engineer status (institution alignment: IFIRE) or progress thereon
- Relevant education (fire engineering, architecture, other fields)
- Extensive consultancy experience in fire safety solutions
- In-depth UK fire safety knowledge—including:
- Applicable legislation and standards (e.g., new regulatory regime)
- Project governance frameworks (RIBA Plan of Work, GRIP, PACE)
- Ability to demonstrate solutions to layered stakeholder challenges
- Experience delivering UK-centric fire safety engineering
