The Opportunities

Role Overview

Our advisory services teams assist clients in overcoming business challenges, making informed decisions, and implementing improved, sustainable solutions. Collaborating with Arup’s full range of technical experts, we add value across the entire lifecycle of a project, asset, or investment.

We are expanding our North Advisory Services and seek to enhance our Programme and Project Management (PPM) capabilities. At Arup, we elevate strategic planning and execution to transform ambitious ideas into impactful programmes of work—whether in buildings, estates, infrastructure, or enterprise-wide transformations. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, sustainable results, consistently on time and within budget.

We invite expressions of interest from Programme & Project Management professionals specialising in the built environment across the North. Our hybrid working model offers flexibility across Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities & Experience Sought

Seeking candidates who demonstrate proficiency in the following, or equivalent:

  • Complex project management across multiple built environment sectors, covering design, procurement, and construction stages
  • Professional qualifications: Degree in related discipline + membership of relevant bodies (e.g. APM, RICS, ICE, RIBA, CIOB)
  • Consulting/advisory experience, including tender/bid processes and cross-functional service integration
  • Specialist skills in: Project Planning, Project Controls, Commercial Management, or Contract Administration (P6 proficiency preferred)
  • Leadership/management experience in team contexts
