Join Our Teaching Team
Sacred Heart College Geelong invites Expressions of Interest from passionate, innovative and student-centred educators to join our teaching community in 2027. As one of Victoria's leading Catholic girls' schools, we are building our teaching workforce for 2027 and welcome applications from teachers across all learning disciplines. Whether you are an experienced educator seeking your next opportunity, an early career teacher, or graduating at the end of 2026, we encourage you to submit an Expression of Interest.
Priority Teaching Areas
While applications are welcomed across all teaching methods, we are particularly seeking exceptional educators with experience in:
- VCE English
- VCE Mathematics
- Literacy Intervention
- Numeracy Intervention
If your teaching methods fall outside these priority areas, we still encourage you to apply. Opportunities arise across many learning areas throughout the year.

Graduate Teachers
Graduating at the end of 2026? Our Graduate Teacher Program provides mentoring, professional learning and tailored support to help you confidently transition into your teaching career. Graduate teachers are encouraged to submit an early Expression of Interest.
About You
You are a passionate educator committed to achieving excellent learning outcomes while nurturing the wellbeing and growth of every student. You will demonstrate:
- contemporary and engaging classroom practice
- inclusive teaching and differentiated learning
- effective use of assessment and student data to inform teaching
- strong communication and relationship-building skills
- a collaborative approach to professional learning
- a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the College.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible prior to commencement)
- demonstrate a commitment to child safety
- ideally hold accreditation to teach in a Catholic school and/or Religious Education (please indicate this within your application if applicable).

- Friday 14 August: Expressions of Interest close
- From Monday 13 September: Interviews and selection activities commence
- From Monday 12 October: Issuing of outcome advice commences
