Do you enjoy turning strategy into delivery and keeping complex programmes moving forward? Are you confident working across suppliers, stakeholders and operational teams while remaining hands-on in the detail? Looking for a role where you can help build and shape a new global extended workforce programme from the ground up?

CFA Institute is hiring an Extended Workforce Associate Manager to support our new Extended Workforce Programme. In this role, you will partner closely with the Senior Manager to execute across the lifecycle, hands-on operational delivery, supplier performance management, SOW oversight, platform evolution, workforce analytics, and operationalising policy in a programme being built from scratch, helping translate strategy into high-quality operational outcomes across multiple regions.

You will work with hiring managers, suppliers and cross-functional partners across HR, Procurement, Legal, Finance and Technology to ensure the programme operates efficiently and consistently. This is a highly practical, delivery-focused role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, managing operational complexity and building effective ways of working within a developing programme.

What You'll Do

  • Drive day-to-day delivery of the Extended Workforce Programme
  • Partner with the Senior Manager to turn programme priorities into delivered outcomes across multiple workstreams.
  • Support hiring managers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, acting as a senior operational point of contact for complex queries and escalations.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance reporting and governance activities, including KPI tracking and review cycles.
  • Support the ongoing development and optimisation of the Extended Workforce Platform, including configuration, user support, training and continuous improvement.
  • Produce workforce reporting, analytics and management information to support programme decisions and senior leadership.
  • Help operationalise workforce policies, governance and standard operating procedures while identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in extended or contingent workforce management, with increasing responsibility for operational delivery and programme execution.
  • Experience working with an Extended Workforce Platform or similar workforce management system, ideally including platform configuration or optimisation.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, performance frameworks or preferred supplier lists in a complex organisational environment.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities, maintaining operational accuracy and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience producing workforce reporting, management information and insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across HR, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Technology and business leaders.
  • Experience with worker classification, workforce governance, Workday HCM or supporting the build of a new programme would be beneficial but is not essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
