External Reporting Accountant
We are partnering with a leading Private Equity firm on a search for an External Reporting Accountant.
Within the role, you will support the preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements and regulatory reporting for UK companies and partnerships. You will work closely with various internal teams, as well as external auditors and advisors, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Preparing statutory financial statements in line with UK accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Supporting external and plc reporting, including quarterly and annual regulatory submissions
- Responding to ad hoc regulatory requests and preparing technical accounting papers
- Ensuring accurate financial oversight for international offices
- Supporting year-end audit processes and resolving audit queries
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting budgeting and forecasting with technical guidance
- Enhancing reporting processes, contributing to finance transformation, and identifying improvements through automation and standardisation
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders for group reporting and annual reports
- Providing backup for other accounting team members as needed

Key Skills
- ACA qualification (or equivalent recognized accounting qualification)
- 1-2 years post-qualified experience
- Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation, or audit (preferably within a leading audit practice)
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality work delivery
- Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-team collaboration
- Desirable: Experience in listed company reporting, financial services sector or handling complex corporate structures
