Now, we’re delighted to present a transformative opportunity for an External Sales Engineer with Fluid Power expertise to make an impact within our South-West England region.
About The Role
In this pivotal position, you will serve as the subject matter expert in Fluid Power, bridging our branch network and our valued customers. Your collaboration with colleagues will shape the development and scaling of existing accounts while actively uncovering and capitalising on novel business openings across:
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Filtration
- Process Valves

Key Responsibilities
- Technical leadership: Serve as the go-to expert for fluid power, ensuring robust client advice and solutions
- Account growth: Engage with existing customers to deepen relationships and accelerate sales
- New opportunity identification: Proactively scout for emerging sales avenues across fundamentals of fluid power
- Diagnostic solutions: Resolve complex customer challenges efficiently and expertly
- Sales expertise: Navigate the full sales cycle with proven results
- Networking: Forge strong professional alliances within the industry and customer base
- Business strategy: Contribute strategic recommendations aligned with market and company needs
What We’re Looking For
- Deep fluid power expertise: Insightful understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, filtration, and process valves
- Technical rigor: Prior experience in engineering-focused or technical environments
- Client-first mindset: Unwavering dedication to ensuring exceptional service standards
- Troubleshooting prowess: Skilled at diagnosing and overcoming technical hurdles
- Commercial acumen: Strong sales experience with a measured approach to conversion
- Enthusiasm and adaptability: Proactive learning mindset, with enthusiasm to grow
- Technical aptitude: Proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft Office, pairing written analysis with broad numeric competency
- Collaborative spirit: Strong networking and cross-functional engagement
