West Coast Corrugated is one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers of corrugated boxes, operating from a modern 60,000 sq. ft. facility. Role Description

The External Sales Person is a full-time, on-site role based at our Knowsley location. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, visiting prospective and existing customers, and promoting West Coast Corrugated’s products and services.

  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations
  • Conducting face-to-face and phone meetings
  • Managing the sales pipeline from initial contact through to order completion
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Responding to customer enquiries
  • Providing pricing and product information
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability in New Business Development and Sales Presentations, including prospecting and converting leads into long-term customers.
  • Strong Relationship Building and Customer Service skills, with a focus on maintaining trust, managing expectations, and delivering a consistent customer experience.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical or product details clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in external or field sales, ideally within packaging, manufacturing, or a related B2B environment.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan routes, schedule visits, and prioritize opportunities effectively.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and basic office software to track prospects, prepare quotes, and report on performance.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites within the region.
  • Relevant education or training in sales, business, or a related field is advantageous; equivalent experience is also valued.
