Role Description
The External Sales Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based in Brighouse. The role involves visiting existing and prospective customers to promote the company’s range of industrial pipework, valves, fittings, and controls, and to develop new business opportunities. The External Sales Representative will work closely with the internal sales and technical teams to ensure accurate information, timely responses, and a high level of customer service. The role also includes:
- Maintaining records of customer interactions
- Monitoring market trends
- Representing the company professionally at meetings, site visits, and industry events
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Sales Presentations and New Business Development, with a track record of identifying opportunities and closing deals.
- Effective Relationship Building and Customer Service skills to maintain long-term client partnerships and support customer needs.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and confident interpersonal interaction.
- Relevant experience in external or field sales, ideally within industrial supplies, engineering, or related sectors, is highly beneficial.
- A good understanding of industrial pipework, valves, fittings, and related products, or a willingness to learn technical product knowledge, is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including planning routes, managing schedules, and keeping accurate sales records.
- Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel to customer sites within the region.
