Extrusion Technician
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the production of sheet to required customer specification and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Day To Day Activities Will Include
- Carrying out work activities in line with production plan in order to keep ‘downtime’ to a minimum
- Production of sheet in accordance with Company and customer quality guidelines, e.g. colour, tolerance, profile
- Maximising line speed whilst maintaining sheet quality
- Ensuring edge trims are within agreed parameters/acceptable levels
- Conducting regular quality control checks and recording data
- Ensuring accurate completion of production documentation
- Taking appropriate action to remedy products identified as being out of specification and following appropriate procedure to notify the Company
- Monitoring Extrusion Operative activities and providing support to ensure that duties are carried out to the appropriate levels

The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for technical work and an understanding of the extrusion process although full training will be provided.
Applicants Should Also Have
- The ability to work to deadlines
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work with minimum supervision
- Awareness of current Health & Safety practices

Hours Of Work
Continental shifts – 4 days on/2 days off/3 nights on/2 days off/3 days on/2 days off/4 nights on/8 days off
Average hours of work – 42 per week
6.30am – 6.30pm dayshift
6.30pm – 6.30am nightshift
