EYFS / Reception Teacher – Primary School (Full-Time, Fixed Term)

Location: Hounslow, London

Salary: Outer London M3 – M6 benchmark: £40,608 – £50,288

Contract: Full-time, 1-year fixed-term (potential to transition to permanent)

Start Date: September

The Role

As EYFS/Reception Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering inspiring, play-based learning through the EYFS framework
  • Nurturing young learners’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Developing a stimulating, inclusive classroom environment that maximises engagement
  • Effectively progress tracking, assessment and safeguarding in line with national guidance
  • Collaborating closely with Teaching Assistants, Parents, and the leadership team
  • Maintaining high teaching standards across the Early Years phase

Ideal candidates will blend structured teaching with a warm, nurturing approach.


Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Proven experience in EYFS/Reception teaching
  • Deep understanding of EYFS curriculum and improvement strategies
  • Strong classroom management, organisation and behaviour management skills
  • A teaching philosophy that combines supportive mentoring with high academic expectations
  • Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration and parent partnerships
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality Early Years education
