EYFS Teacher – Full-Time Permanent Opportunity
Location: Canterbury, Kent Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) Qualification Required: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our welcoming school in Canterbury from September 2026. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational educator passionate about early childhood development, committed to fostering a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
The EYFS Teacher will play a key role in supporting children through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping them develop confidence, curiosity, and essential skills to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
As an EYFS Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels valued and empowered to flourish.
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social-emotional, and physical development through high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Monitoring progress through observations, assessments, and developmental planning to tailor future support and interventions.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Collaborating with the teaching team to enhance school-wide policies, practices, and childhood development initiatives.

Ideal Candidate: What We’re Looking For
We are searching for an EYFS Teacher who: ✔ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ✔ Has experience teaching in Early Years, or is an Early Career Teacher eager to begin a fulfilling career in this sector. ✔ Demonstrates exceptional classroom management with a passion for nurturing young learners. ✔ Exhibits strong communication, organisational, and intercultural skills to engage with diverse families and students. ✔ Is creative, patient, and committed to delivering outstanding learning moments for children. ✔ Upholds high expectations for all pupils, fostering curiosity and a love for learning from an early age.
