EYFS Teacher and Phonics Lead

EYFS Teacher & Phonics Lead Hackney September 2026

An exceptional primary school in Hackney is seeking an ambitious EYFS Teacher & Phonics Lead to join its leadership team from September 2026. This permanent opportunity would suit an experienced Early Years practitioner with a proven track record in phonics, early reading, and curriculum development who is ready to drive whole-school literacy outcomes while remaining based within EYFS.

The school has established itself as one of the strongest primary settings in the borough for early reading and language development. Recent outcomes highlight the impact of its approach, with 74% of pupils achieving a Good Level of Development in EYFS compared to 65% nationally, while 95% of Year 1 pupils met the expected standard in the Phonics Screening Check, significantly above the national figure of 76%. These results reflect a sustained commitment to high-quality early education and reading provision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
