EYFS Teacher

EYFS Teacher (Maternity Cover), September 2026 Start, Hertford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and highly supportive village primary school on a maternity cover contract from September 2026.

Set within a peaceful rural Hertford community, this small and nurturing primary school offers a fantastic environment for both staff and pupils. The successful EYFS Teacher will teach a mixed Nursery and Reception class of approximately 15-20 children, providing an exceptional early years experience within a caring and engaging setting.

The Opportunity

The school is seeking an organised, creative and inspirational EYFS Teacher who is passionate about Early Years education and committed to ensuring every child makes excellent progress.

The successful EYFS Teacher will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching within a fun, engaging and nurturing EYFS environment
  • Have high expectations for all pupils and a strong understanding of assessment for learning
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn
  • Work collaboratively as part of a close-knit and supportive staff team
  • Contribute to wider school life, including opportunities to lead a curriculum area and extra-curricular activities
