EYFS Teaching Assistant: SEN and Complex Needs Kilburn
GBP90:GBP105 per day
Full-time September 2026 start
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
A rewarding opportunity in Early Years
We are seeking a caring and energetic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Kilburn from September 2026. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and has experience supporting pupils with SEN and complex needs within an Early Years setting.
You will play a key role in helping children develop their communication, social, emotional, and learning skills through structured support and engaging activities.

What we're looking for
- Experience working in EYFS and/or with children who have SEN and complex needs
- Knowledge of supporting pupils with autism, communication difficulties, sensory needs, or developmental delays
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong behaviour and emotional regulation support skills
- Someone who is confident, enthusiastic, and able to build trust quickly
- A genuine passion for helping young children reach their potential

Your responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with additional needs
- Assist with play-based learning activities and classroom routines
- Support pupils with communication, sensory, and personal care needs where required
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage independence and positive social interaction
