About The Role And School

We are seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and nurturing mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets from September. This EYFS Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting pupils within the Early Years setting, helping to create an engaging, stimulating and safe learning environment where children can thrive.

The successful EYFS Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support learning through structured activities, play-based learning and targeted interventions. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting children's social, emotional and communication development.

This EYFS Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with younger children and is passionate about supporting children during the early stages of their education.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support children's learning through play and structured activities
  • Assist with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
  • Promote children's social, emotional and communication development
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff

Qualifications/Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive and nurturing approach
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
