About Live Wire
For over a decade, Live Wire has been delivering technology and immersive experiences across Formula 1, supporting the major teams and F1 Management. Our work spans hospitality suites, paddocks, garages, and factories, elevating all 24 races annually. We also provide AV and technical solutions for festivals, concerts, conferences, theatre, working with venues including Southbank Centre, Barbican, and more.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with agency experience, a strong knowledge of AV and technology, and a track record of leading complex projects internationally. This is a senior role requiring strategic planning, client management, and operational oversight.
Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will oversee international sporting clients and high profile projects, ensuring exceptional delivery from concept to execution. Reporting to the Head of F1 Projects, you will act as the key client contact, lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure all technical and operational aspects meet the highest standards.
This role requires a proactive, solution-focused approach, combining project management expertise with a deep understanding of AV and technology. You will play a pivotal role in integrating innovation into all projects, improving efficiency, and ensuring world-class client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Client Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Formula 1 hospitality and technical projects, as well as bespoke international events.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, managing expectations, project scope, timelines, deliverables, and change requests.
- Develop detailed proposals, budgets, equipment specifications, resource plans, and project timelines.
- Produce presentations, progress reports, and risk mitigation strategies for client approval.
- Lead weekly project meetings and maintain clear communication channels with clients and internal teams.

Technical & AV Oversight
- Apply strong AV and technology knowledge to guide project planning and equipment selection.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless technical integration across events.
- Conduct site visits to assess venue requirements, equipment needs, and logistical challenges.
Operational & Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, tracking costs against forecasts and implementing cost control measures.
- Allocate resources effectively, including crew, suppliers, and technical equipment.
- Coordinate international logistics, including travel, freight, and on-site operational requirements.
- Identify risks and develop contingency plans to prevent delays or overspend.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in senior project management roles, ideally within an agency or live events environment.
- Proven track record managing complex, high-profile events internationally.
- Strong technical understanding of AV, production workflows, and event technology.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent client management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Availability for international travel.

Desirable:
- Experience in Formula 1 or high profile sporting events.
- Exposure to large scale AV installations, technical production, or hospitality environments.
- Familiarity with event software, project management tools, or resource planning platforms.
