Fabric Data Engineer
Up to £70,000 - West London (Hybrid – 1 Day Onsite)
We are partnering with a well-established international organisation operating within a sustainability-led sector that is investing heavily in its technology and data capabilities. As part of an ambitious digital transformation programme, the business is modernising its data estate, embracing cloud technologies to drive operational efficiency and support future growth.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development and optimisation of scalable data solutions, while supporting a major migration to Microsoft Fabric. Working with large and complex datasets, you will build robust data pipelines, optimise data processes and help deliver reliable, high-quality data that underpins critical business reporting and decision-making.
Joining a collaborative BI & Data team, you will work closely with analysts, stakeholders and technology teams across the organisation to deliver impactful data solutions. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys hands-on development, solving complex data challenges and contributing to a forward-thinking data strategy within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain Microsoft Fabric pipelines, Lakehouses and end-to-end data solutions
- Develop, optimise and maintain SQL/T-SQL queries for efficient data processing and transformation
- Create and maintain scalable data models to support reporting, analytics and KPI measurement
- Monitor, troubleshoot and enhance data quality, platform performance and solution reliability
- Work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, business-critical data solutions
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the organisation’s modern data platform and architecture

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working in a Data Engineering role delivering data solutions within complex environments
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-based data platforms
- Strong background in ETL development, data integration and pipeline engineering
- Advanced SQL/T-SQL development skills
- Experience designing and implementing data models for reporting and analytical requirements
- Experience using Python and/or PySpark, particularly within Fabric Notebooks
- Exposure to Azure data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics or Data Lake
