Golfbreaks.com, established in 1998, organizes exceptional golf breaks and holidays worldwide. With over 25 years of experience as the Official Golf Tourism Operator of the PGA TOUR, their team is dedicated to delivering outstanding value and service. The company operates from their head office in Windsor and additional offices in the USA and Denmark, and they are now looking for a skilled Fabric Data Engineer to join their dynamic digital team.
Responsibilities
- Identify optimal methods for data extraction and ingestion using tools like PySpark Notebooks and ETL flows.
- Develop data integrations with error handling and business logic to prevent data corruption.
- Apply best practices for data transformation into actionable data tables.
- Ensure data platform requirements of downstream users, including BI teams, are met.
- Store and transform data using medallion architecture and manage Lakehouse and warehouse assets.
- Oversee operations and maintenance of data pipelines, optimizing efficiency and resolving issues.
- Promote a self-serve data reporting approach across the business.

Requirements
- Experience with data engineering tools like Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS.
- Understanding of good data structures and data security.
- Effective version control management throughout development.
- Organized work practices for managing time and quality deliverables.
- Proficient in Microsoft’s productivity suite, including Teams and Office 365.
- Foundational SQL language skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft's Fabric platform for data engineering and warehousing workflows.
- DP-600 certification from Microsoft.
- Experience supporting BI & data analytics software and languages like Python and JSON.
