Fabric Engineer – Permanent Position (Birmingham)
Location:
Birmingham (Static Site)
Salary: £35,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm
About the Role We are hiring a Fabric Engineer to join a static commercial site in Birmingham, where they will carry out both planned and reactive building fabric maintenance. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Fabric Engineer or Multi-Trader seeking a permanent, Monday-to-Friday role with an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive building fabric repairs
- Inspect, maintain, and repair fire doors
- Conduct general fabric maintenance, including:
- Carpentry work
- Patch plastering
- Painting and decorating
- Flooring repairs
- Other associated building fabric tasks
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Provide support to the wider maintenance team when required

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Fabric Technician, Carpenter, Joiner, or Multi-Trader
- Essential: Fire door experience
- Must hold a recognised trade qualification
- Desirable: Experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
