Fabric Technician
Why Join Us
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fabric Technician to join a customer-focused engineering team in and around Leicestershire. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the building fabric and associated plumbing systems.
This role suits a proactive, flexible team player with a strong commitment to customer service, health and safety, and first-time fix performance in a high-profile corporate environment.
Monday-Friday working with no on call
What You'll Be Doing
- Complete reactive and PPM tasks efficiently using the site CAFM system to meet SLA requirements
- Undertake a wide range of building fabric works, including carpentry, painting, tiling, flooring, and general repairs
- Carry out plumbing repairs covering hot and cold-water systems, sanitary ware, and drainage
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency maintenance issues
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures and site SOPs
- Support colleagues and assist with more complex tasks when required
- Escort and monitor contractors and contribute to ordering parts and materials
- Build strong working relationships with internal customers and client stakeholders
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement and reduce reliance on external contractors where possible

What We're Looking For
- NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC in a building trade or multi-skilled time-served experience
- Experience in a customer-facing, time-pressured environment (corporate setting preferred)
- Strong communication and IT skills
- Full UK driving licence
- IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification desirable
- Skilled across multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting, and general fabric maintenance

- Flexible and willing to participate in a call-out rota
