Job Role: Fabric Technician
Location: London UCL
Hours: Monday to Friday, 12pm - 8pm
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Full time – Perm
Artic Building Services Ltd is an established and recognised leader within the M&E and Facilities Management sector. Via our standards and reputation within this industry we have successfully attained a solid foundation of varied blue-chip clients both commercial and public.
Essential:
Education
- A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic Mathematics skills.
- Formal fabric Training.
- Formal Building Maintenance training.
- Formal health and safety training.
Experience (Essential)
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
- Character: Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
- To have a calm manner and able to work under pressure.
- Able to make sound decisions when needed.
- A team player, able to work with the team and client’s representatives at all levels.
- Must be willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.

Job Duties:
- Changing shower cartridges, heads.
- Change taps and basins.
- Replace toilet cisterns and components.
- Unblock toilets, showers and sinks.
- Changing locks, adjusting door closers.
Health and Safety:
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
- As a member of the team, you will be required to fulfil our legal duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions, and to follow all guidance and instructions given in this respect.
