Fabric Engineer
Location: Onsite at Rolls-Royce, Bristol, BS16 Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday

As a Fabric Engineer within JLL’s UK team, you will maintain and enhance the structural and aesthetic integrity of buildings, ensuring compliance with UK safety standards and optimal performance. This role allows you to work on a diverse range of properties—from historic structures to contemporary spaces—while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities
Inspections and Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of building exteriors and interiors to assess maintenance needs against UK regulations
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for critical fabric elements
Project Coordination
- Manage repair and renovation projects, ensuring adherence to UK building codes and safety standards
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve client concerns and enhance property value
Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare detailed condition reports and recommend actions based on UK industry standards
- Stay updated on emerging building technologies and sustainable practices within the UK construction sector
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including client-facing roles, to optimize property performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management within the UK
- In-depth knowledge of UK building materials, construction methods, and safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills to oversee repairs and improvements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and UK-specific building management software
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings and specifications
