Fabricator (Light Gauge Stainless Steel Specialist)
Role Overview
As a Fabricator, you’ll play a vital role in manufacturing high-quality catering equipment using light gauge stainless steel. Your expertise will directly impact the production of premium commercial kitchen solutions for some of the biggest hospitality brands in the UK.
This role requires a keen eye for precision, hands-on fabrication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Core Responsibilities
- Master TIG welding techniques to achieve flawless precision welding of 0.9–1.5mm light gauge stainless steel materials
- Follow rigorous quality checks and manufacturing standards to ensure compliant, durable bespoke components
- Accurately read and interpret technical drawings to guide your fabrication and assembly work
- Use tools, jigs, and machinery to cut, shape, bend, and assemble stainless steel in line with project specifications
- Embrace strong initiative, problem-solving, and adaptability when meeting exacting deadlines
- Work harmoniously as an excellent team player within a fast-paced workshop environment
- Communicate clearly with production managers, designers, and colleagues to understand and deliver designs consistently

Experience & Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates with direct commercial fabrication experience, specifically for:
- Proven TIG welding skills with light gauge stainless steel (0.9–1.5mm)
- Technical knowledge of stainless steel, aluminium, and sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Ability to read and apply engineering drawings in a precision manufacturing setting
- Prior experience in a commercial kitchen equipment or bespoke fabrication workshop preferred
Coaching and support will be provided for Junior/Junior-plus candidates; however, unofficial candidates with actionable fabrication experience and the right attitude are also encouraged to apply.
Working Environment
- Thriving 700+ strong company culture with strong career progression opportunities
- Labour-intensive role with mostly on-standing RoP (Rolling Off-Premises) work in a modern, well-equipped workshop
- Hourly wage (rate negotiable based on qualification and relevant experience)
- Standard: 40-hour week (Mon–Fri)
- Overtime offered at time and a half rate, averaging 10 hours per week paid in hours ( Accounts Department can convert to money if required)
- Shift hours: Typically 07:45 AM – 04:30 PM (start/finish times depend on production demands)
