The Role: Fabricator Welder

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder to join our team at our Andover site in a permanent, full-time role (Mon–Thu, 07:00 – 16:45).

As a Fabricator Welder, you will:

  • Join metal components using MAG welding techniques.
  • Cut and weld materials based on technical drawings designed by our Rail Design Team.
  • Work to ensure high-quality standards before products progress.

This is an exciting opportunity for welders who thrive in a dynamic, structured team environment and relish contributing to precise, high-value engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret product drawings to ensure jobs adhere to specifications.
  • Deliver defect-free projects, prioritising both quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate within a flexible team, adapting to meet business and operational demands.
  • Maintain full safety compliance and uphold housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • Proven welding experience (MAG techniques preferred).
  • Ability to read and apply technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in finishing work (polishing, fine tolerances).
  • Familiarity with Oxy-Acetylene heating equipment and digital bevel gauges.
  • Commitment to a "right first time" (RFT) approach and continuous improvement.
