Facilities and Compliance Manager
Facilities Manager
Location: Bristol Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (plus bonus) Hours: Monday - Friday, days
About the Role
This thriving business operates as a leading name in its industry, delivering high-quality products throughout the UK. They are now seeking a Facilities Manager to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure site compliance across critical areas:
- Fire systems
- LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations)
- PSSR (Pressure Systems and Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations)
- Legionella
- Electrical safety Support the team in upholding maintenance standards

Manage facilities across the full manufacturing site and head office:
- Plan and execute maintenance programmes (scheduled and reactive)
- Oversee a full-time on-site contractor providing compliance support

Lead facilities and compliance projects from concept to completion, including:
- Driving compliance improvements
- Implementing site modernisation strategies

Coordinate and manage contractor activities on a day-to-day basis

Monitor and control the Facilities & Compliance budget
Requirements
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
-
A strong commitment to safety, actively promoting:
- Safe workplace behaviours
- Risk mitigation
- Continuous improvement (one-off IOSH Managing Safely and CDM 2017 training highly desirable)

Proven experience in managing statutory inspections, including:
- LOLER
- Legionella
- LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation)
- Asbestos assessments
- Life safety systems

Effective maintenance planning skills with:
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with contractors and stakeholders
- Strong prioritisation capabilities for varied workloads

A solid understanding of facilities management, covering:
- Building maintenance
- Groundskeeping
- Drainage systems

Exceptional organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with influence at multiple levels
