Kingswinford, DY6
£36,000 - £40,000
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8-4:30, Fri 8-3:30
Enjoy regular hours with no shift work, finishing early every Friday, giving you more time for yourself at the end of the week. You'll have the flexibility to occasionally work overtime on weekends for planned maintenance or moves, ensuring you're fairly compensated for your time.
And you'll be working for a business that makes a real difference in people's lives. The obvious purpose of helping people with mobility issues is something that resonates with many engineers.
On top of that, you'll get 33 days' holiday, a company pension, and fully funded training to keep your skills sharp and open doors to future promotions.
This is a chance to work in a supportive environment where you can develop your expertise across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines. You'll be trusted to keep the site running smoothly, covering everything from repairs to fault diagnosis and long-term improvements.
And you won't be stuck doing the same thing every day. You'll get hands-on with a wide range of systems, including machine tooling, electrical systems up to 415V, power distribution, motors, pumps, and PLCs and get to know people across the site in the offices, factory and warehouse.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
