Bank Facilities Assistant – Shrewsbury Hospital
About the Role
Location: Shrewsbury Hospital | Department: Property and Facilities | Contract Type: Part Time | Bank Hours Salary: £12.84 per hour
Join our Facilities Team and play a crucial role in maintaining one of the UK’s leading private hospitals. You’ll assist the Facilities Manager in delivering high-quality hospital services, including cleaning (internal & external), maintenance, security, health & safety, and waste management.
As a Bank Facilities Assistant, you will:
- Support the facilities team in planning, identifying and processing maintenance requests.
- Help select, order and manage goods/equipment needed for day-to-day operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety, Nuffield Health standards, and legal requirements.
- Interact with vendors, suppliers, and maintenance providers to coordinate on-site support.
- Maintain supplier documentation and records up to required standards.
- Monitor and support health and safety measures.
- Assist in delivering projects, maintenance activities, and health & safety audits.
- Contribute to maintaining internal and external areas to the highest standards, including cleanliness and facilities upkeep.

This is a flexible bank role—no fixed contract hours. You’ll work ad-hoc to meet the hospital’s needs based on your availability, supporting a 'just-in-time' approach to services.
