Salary: £31,537 - £33,699 per annum
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Contract: Permanent, required from 17 August 2026, or as soon as possible

Olive Academies - Suffolk are seeking a highly efficient Facilities Assistant who will be responsible for the security, ongoing maintenance, safety and cleanliness of the educational buildings and grounds.
Responsibilities
- Site Maintenance and Compliance: maintain buildings and grounds through repairs, housekeeping routines, landscaping, fault log completion, basic plumbing/carpentry tasks, and management of compliance areas such as PAT testing, water systems, access control and boiler servicing.
- Safeguarding and Safety: prioritise pupil and staff safety through secure site access, regular fire and H&S checks, incident recording, contractor safeguarding checks, and appropriate emergency responses (including first aid).
- Facilities and Operations Management: oversee cleaning services, manage deliveries, ensure effective heating and building functionality, and maintain an environment that supports both efficient staff working and high-quality learning.
- Support for School Functioning: Contribute to the smooth running of the school by assisting with operational tasks and pupil welfare needs where required, including duties such as minibus driving.
