Facilities Assistant

Facilities Service Delivery Team Assistant (City Region Property Portfolio: RSSS) – Bristol, South West England, BS1 6EH


About the Role

Working in the Facilities Team under the guidance of the Facilities Manager for the South of England, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall operation, functional delivery, Facilities and Physical Security activities for Homes England at the Bristol office.

The team of 17 consists of enthusiastic, friendly, and highly experienced professionals dedicated to transforming how Homes England manages accommodation. Our mission is to maximise space efficiency, minimise costs, and optimise operational function across our office environments to support colleagues.

The Facilities Team strives to deliver ex Exceptional customer service, resolving Facilities and Maintenance (FM) tasks within published SLAs (Service Level Agreements) wherever feasible. The team encourages innovation and creativity in solving operational challenges.


Responsibilities

  • Join a small, collaborative, and dynamic team committed to delivering outstanding Facilities and Physical Security services.
  • Operate alongside the Facilities Manager, South of England, to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Assist key stakeholders and a professional team to deliver high-quality, consistent, and timely resolution of high-volume tasks.
  • Provide a safe, secure, and efficient office environment, enabling teams to operate at their best.
  • Collaborate in ambitious Facilities and Physical Security projects to evolve the service offering while balancing day-to-day delivery.
  • Opportunities to innovate and shape future improvement strategies in Facilities Management.

  • Proficient delivery of high-quality facilities services within property and related environments.
  • Ability to problem-solve creatively and deliver complex operational tasks aligned with organisational goals.
  • Strong customer service orientation—acting as the welcoming representative of the agency.
  • Resilient, collaborative, and mission-driven mindset, echoing Homes England’s values, behaviours, and culture.
  • Strong people skills—able to engage effectively with colleagues and work cohesively within the team.
