Salary: OHC&AT Business Support Scale (Outer London), Grade PO3/4 £45,746 - £52,187 per annum
Location: Copthall House, 9 The Pavement, Grove Road, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1DA - with frequent visits to OHC&AT schools and college locations within your geographic hub, in the Sutton and Croydon areas. Hybrid home/office working will be possible once established in the role.
Working Pattern: 36hrs per week, 8.45am – 4.30pm (M-Th) and 8.45am – 4.15pm (Fr).
About Us:
Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust (OHC&AT) is a family of specialist education providers for pupils and students from nursery to further education. We operate across academies and college centres in London, Surrey, Sussex, and Berkshire. Supporting our academies and college, OHC&AT also operates learning support services, such as nursing and therapy, and a central business support team which includes HR, finance, and IT.
Pupils and students within the OHC&AT family have a wide range of learning abilities and additional needs. These include autistic spectrum disorder; speech, language, and communication difficulties; social, emotional, and mental health needs; profound and multiple learning disabilities; and physical disabilities including multi-sensory impairment and complex health conditions.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Facilities Business Partner to oversee a hub of school and college sites within OHC&AT. Reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will build strong relationships with leadership teams, ensure sites operate efficiently and compliantly, and support Trust-wide contracts using agreed KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee facilities operations across a hub of school and college sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant environments that support teaching and learning.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and Trust requirements, including health & safety, fire, asbestos, and CDM regulations, through audits, inspections, and contractor oversight.
- Manage Trust-wide facilities contracts and deliver planned maintenance and small-to-medium estates projects, ensuring value for money and adherence to procurement processes.
- Lead, support, and develop facilities staff, working collaboratively with academy leadership teams and central services to drive high standards and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to budget planning, procurement, and asset management while building effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery across the Trust.

Key Requirements:
- Recognised training/qualifications associated with facilities management
- Driving licence (all new appointments will be required to have a clean, valid driving licence).
- Valid MIDAS training to coaching level (training available)
- To hold or be willing to work towards the Institute of Work Place Management qualification in facilities management
- To hold or be willing to work towards NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
