Optime Group is proud to be working in partnership with a well-known ground handling company at Luton Airport to recruit a team of Facilities Cleaners.

We are looking to recruit a team Facilities Cleaning Operatives to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation within the easyJet Hangar and associated welfare facilities at London Luton Airport. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that all operational, office, and welfare areas are maintained to a safe, clean, and professional standard.

All necessary training will be fully paid and provided by sector experts including support in obtaining relevant background checks. There is on-site mentoring and clear career pathways leading to specialist management roles within our team, so think big!

What's on offer:

  • Rate of pay: £13.050 per hour (Day Shifts)
  • Shift Pattern: 4on 2off (as per below)
  • Shift times available:
    • 6:00-14:00 x4 candidates, 4on /2off
    • 8.00-16.00 x 2 candidates, Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 8-hours shift
  • Temp to Perm (performance-based)
  • Start Date: 13th of August 2026

Key Duties:

  • Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming of floors throughout the hangar and office areas.
  • Cleaning and sanitising welfare facilities, including toilets, showers, kitchens and break rooms.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste in designated areas.
  • Cleaning desks, workstations, meeting rooms and communal areas.
  • Wiping and disinfecting surfaces, touchpoints and equipment.
  • Replenishing consumables such as toilet rolls, hand soap and paper towels.
  • Operating floor cleaning equipment and scrubber machines where required.
  • Reporting maintenance, safety or cleaning issues to the Supervisor.
  • Adhering to all airport, hangar and company health and safety procedures.
  • Supporting additional cleaning requirements as directed by the Facilities Supervisor or Operations Manager

Requirements:

  • Great work ethic.
  • Good understanding of cleaning standards and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling and working in a large operational environment.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations is advantageous.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays as required
  • Self-motivated and willing to work using your own initiative.
  • The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Previous airport experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • UK Settled Status (If applicable).
  • 5 Year Address History
  • 5 Year Work Reference History
