Summary of the Role
Our Commodity Management team is seeking a Supply Chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will play a key role in supporting the growth of our manufacturing operations, working closely with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
This Onsite position at Glenrothes, Fife requires:
- Sourcing strategies and business case development
- Supplier negotiation and contract management
- Risk mitigation and alignment with business growth objectives
- Strategic supplier relationships to drive efficiency and profitability
Your influence will span from budget discussions to long-term commodity planning, ensuring aligns with market conditions, Raytheon’s goals, and sustainable procurement principles.
Main Duties
Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Engage with cross-functional teams (including RTX businesses) and functional leadership

Liaise with peer functions, external suppliers, and senior management

Provide broader alignment across commodity strategies and stakeholder functions
Supply Chain Strategy & Execution
- Lead or support Make v Buy exercises for indirect spend commodities
- Develop and implement commodity strategies (e.g., ROI targets, risk management, preferred suppliers)
- Align strategies with market conditions and Raytheon’s growth plans
- Cost & risk analysis for capital equipment procurement

Suppliers & Contract Management
- Design and execute tenders, negotiations, and supplier agreements
- Cost/price analysis and value-for-money negotiation strategies
- Develop and maintain collaborative supplier partnerships to meet service level KPIs
- Supplier assessment and development, including due diligence activities
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Mitigate supply chain risks, identify growth opportunities
- Promote sustainable procurement (social, cultural, and diversity values)
- Drive continually improving operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, public law, and Raytheon policies
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Subcontract Management, or Commodity-related fields
- Valid degree/certification (e.g., MCIPS level) or equivalent
- Strong stakeholder management skills (cross-functional collaboration)
- Expertise in capital equipment acquisitions, with knowledge of facilities management (including multi-building projects)
- Flexible, problem-solving mindset with conflict-resolution experience at mid-management level
- Excellent verbal and written communication (ability to brief at senior levels)
- Import/export legislation awareness and logistical expertise
- Hands-on contract management, including negotiation of complex non-standard agreements
