Facilities & Estates Manager | Independent Preparatory School | Ealing

Facilities & Estates Manager – Independent School – Ealing – Competitive Salary (Dependent on Experience)

A highly regarded Independent Preparatory School in Ealing is seeking to appoint an experienced Facilities & Estates Manager to oversee the management, maintenance and compliance of its school estate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive facilities professional to play a key role in ensuring the school provides a safe, secure and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Facilities & Estates Manager – The Role

As the Facilities & Estates Manager, you will work closely with the Interim Bursar to lead all aspects of estates and facilities management. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensure statutory compliance, manage contractors and budgets, and line manage the school's maintenance team.

Facilities & Estates Manager – Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the school's buildings, grounds and facilities.
  • Develop and oversee planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes.
  • Ensure all health & safety, compliance and statutory testing requirements are met.
  • Manage maintenance projects, refurbishments and contractor performance.

Facilities & Estates Manager – Person Specification

  • Previous experience managing facilities or estates, ideally within a school or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, statutory compliance and building maintenance.
  • Experience managing contractors, maintenance programmes and budgets.
