Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Location: Sheffield Reporting To: Phil Johnson Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Compensation: £35,000 per year Application Deadline: 10 July 2026 Department: Finance

About the Role

As our Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure seamless operations through a dynamic mix of reactive fixes and proactive maintenance, supporting multiple business sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) system, ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) is executed efficiently
  • Handle reactive works, prioritise issues, and escalate complex tasks to the Facilities Manager
  • Collaborate closely with the Facilities Manager, coordinate meetings, and spotlight ongoing concerns
  • Standardise site documentation across all Teams-based locations per company templates
  • Oversee waste management and on-site equipment condition (including ad-hoc tasks)
  • Assist in new site rollouts, possibly involving occasional travel or overnight stays
  • Supervise external contractors to maintain safety and high standards

Requirements

Essential

  • Relevant experience in facilities management, including knowledge of industry regulations
  • Full British driving licence with mobility to travel for site visits/audits
  • General engineering background with a fast-paced, agile warehouse context (preferred)
  • Proficiency in health & safety statutory checks
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office for streamlined workflows
  • Proactive and self-managed approach to prioritisation—methodical yet flexible

Desired but Not Essential

  • Deep technical expertise in specific mechanical/electrical systems (bonus!)
