The Role
We’re looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a key role in supporting the Maintenance Operations Manager. You’ll carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance, installations, and fault diagnosis on plant and workshop machinery. This role is ideal for someone mechanically biased but confident with minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and workshop machinery.
- Carry out installations and lead on new projects.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
- Respond to breakdowns and ad-hoc maintenance requests across all sites.
- Work with external contractors and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service reports and update work orders via CAFM system.
- Mentor apprentices and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a maintenance discipline.
- Ability to interpret schematic circuit diagrams.
- Flexible to provide standby cover on a 24/7 rota basis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely, Electrical Maintenance qualification, 18th Edition certification.
