- Making sure buildings, systems and spaces are safe, compliant, well maintained and ready for use.
- Planning and coordinating maintenance, inspections, repairs and improvement works across the estate.
- Managing contractors and suppliers, making sure work is delivered safely, on time and to the right standard.
- Supporting event readiness for rugby matches, concerts, conferences and other major activities.
- Responding quickly and calmly to operational issues, finding practical solutions and keeping key people informed.
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues across events, operations, security, grounds, commercial teams and office users.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong facilities management experience, ideally in a complex, multi-use or event-led environment.
- Good technical understanding of building services, maintenance, compliance and contractor management.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-moving setting.
- A confident communicator who can work well with a wide range of people and teams.
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Sound judgement, attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and service standards.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure, especially during busy event periods.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
